Effective Herbal Remedies for Asthma

Lobelia is a toxic herb but effectual against asthma. For treating asthma, only small doses of lobelia are required. Heart patients should use it only after consulting doctor. Its tea is used.
Ma Huang
Another name of Ma Huang is Ephedra. It is a bronchodilator, which means it can open airways to allow trouble free gaseous exchange. However, this herb should be used only after taking doctor’s advice. Ma Huang elevates heart rate; if you are a heart patient, increased heart rate can be harmful. It also increases irritability.
Mustard oil
Mustard oil is reported to be effectual against asthma. It is mixed with camphor and massaged on back to provide relieve.
Reishi mushroom
Reishi mushrooms have many positive health effects. In Chinese medicine, it is of great importance. It has anti-inflammatory and immune boosting effects.
